In several industries having childproof systems is a vital component as young children are prone to take items from openable boxes. Because of the potentially lethal consequences and injuries, a set of guidelines needs to be placed, to protect the children.

Most commonly, ingestion of foul elements that leads to the poisoning of children (5 or below) due to children mistaking it as candy and ingesting them. This incident leaves severe injuries every year. Several countries have set rules and regulations for customer safety.
